Our Services

PROJECT INCEPTION

In close collaboration with you, we’ll establish the brief, project parameters, your 'must haves' and 'nice to haves', how much you want to spend, and when you want it delivered by. Parts of this scope are always bound to change along the way, but this first stage will get us all on the same page, and allow us to provide a fee that meets your project requirements, and budget.

SKETCH DESIGN

Now we have the ball rolling, the fun can begin! We'll take detailed measurements of your project site, research any site specific and authority requirements that need to be adhered to throughout the design process, and present you with a detailed sketch design report that captures your desired outcome, for sign-off, before moving onto the next stage.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

Once we've arrived at an agreed concept, the design can now be developed to start curating detail. Floorplans, elevations and sections, and materials and finishes, that align with your aspirations, will be developed and presented back to you for sign-off. We will assist in engaging relevant consultants to develop a structural methodology that aligns with the design, and your budget. And we will liaise with the relevant authorities on your behalf, to lodge the development application that will allow you to build.

DOCUMENTATION

It’s now time to document the nitty gritty. All the detail that a builder will need to accurately price, and eventually build, the design we have arrived at. Materials, finishes and fixtures will be locked in. Structural detailing and drawings will be provided that capture all the mandated requirements of the national construction code and relevant standards, and a complete drawing set will be issued to the relevant authorities to apply for a building permit.

CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION

Selecting a builder and ensuring you have a contract in place that allows your build to be completed in a fashion that meets your expectations can be a daunting task! We can help with that too. If you choose to engage us during the construction phase, we will assist you in procuring a fair and reasonable contract between you and your builder.  We will assess all of the progress claims throughout the build so you're not paying for something you haven't received. You can rest assured that at the end of the process you'll have a building with no unwanted surprises!
Arnhem Studio team members

Meet the Team

Jack Arnhem Andrews, registered Architect and co-director at ArnhemStudio. With over 10 years experience working on, and leading, projects across multiple scales, typologies, and sectors, Jack has the knowledge and experience to successfully deliver your project, efficiently and with flair!

Suzie, co-director, is the brains behind the business side of things. But, with a great eye for design, she’ll also be a key contributor throughout the design stages, to provide oversight and ideas that may have slipped by un-noticed without her keen eye!

Banjo, the latest addition to the team, keeps us honest. He’s the reason we strive for environmentally sustainable solutions and won’t settle for ‘near enough is good enough’. We want him to be able to enjoy the wild outdoors and clean air that generations before him have taken for granted.

We believe that architecture plays a key role in delivering a sustainable future for our children. If you think so too, we’d love to collaborate.
